Happiness is a topic that I find most people do not invest enough time in.  They need to explore their inner souls to find their happiness point.

Maybe you would like to change your career, or write a book.  It doesn’t matter what you want to do just as long as you begin to do something that gets you out of your comfort zone. I’ve coached thousands of clients and getting them out their comfort zone is the first step to creating change in a person’s life.  It doesn’t matter if it’s weight loss, career advancement, addiction, or overcoming the fear of heights, breaking the pattern starts with getting uncomfortable.

I’ll share a story that I hope will inspire you to get uncomfortable today and set a few Big Hairy Ass Goals (BHAG) for yourself.  Just over a year ago I was coaching a client and she said, “Kris you really love what you do and it shows.”  I asked her why she had said that.  Her reply was that it showed every time she came in for a session.  She continued to say that my smile brightened up the studio, my voice has a super high energy in it, and my focus to detail in training a women’s body is amazing.  She went on to say, “You really understand your clients, and how they feel, what they want, and I really love coming here because I get to spend time with you.”

She followed that up by saying she hates working out, thinking sweating is the gross, and drinking a gallon of water sucks.  Here is the part I want you to get from her story.  She is a beautiful 58 year old woman who trains with weights 4 days a week and does two spin classes a week. She has a family and a career.  She had never worked out before meeting me and was in terrible physical shape.

Menopause had run its nasty course on her body and emotions.  It was through working with her that I found my love for assisting women going through menopause.  I had coached hundreds of women going through peri-menopause prior to discovering this passion, but I didn’t know it would become my primary focus of interest. Working with women and discussing menopause is 100% out of my comfort zone, but it is where I love to live.  I found there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone find themselves again after years of wondering and asking themselves,  “Is this all life has left to offer me?”  I found my happiness and that is why I created My Menopause Fix blog, and will continue to create programs and tools to help women enter a new stage in their lives with passion and zest.
